Professionally built epoxy/plywood Shrike with 2 bulkheads and a retro-fitted ‘slide on skeg’ . Comes with minicell foam seat and two hatches, one in the foot bulkhead, and one on the rear deck. This is our lightest boat at only 13.4kg. Painted in survival orange with a mid grey hull, it has some minor scratches from use. This boat would be about £2800 new

Professionally built, brand new, epoxy/ply Shrike with 3 bulkheads, day compartment and a lifting, graphite coated skeg operated by a Kajaksport slider. Super tough epoxy coated Birch ply cockpit ring and a 10” foot bulkhead hatch. Comes with minicell foam seat, with hip pads and a 4’ minicell back block and double marosky fittings with bungy cord. This boat was made with lightness in mind and has an ‘open weave’ paint finish and no flow coats. It can be re-painted using conventional paints. Recommended for paddlers between 65-100kg.

Professionally built multi composite boat with an epoxy glass/diolen hull and a glassed, wood veneer top. Based on the standard Shrike hull, with the exception of a 20mm overall, lower deck level, and consequent lower volume and narrower beam. This boat is hand laminated, future Gazelles will all be vacuum infused, with two layers of diolen in the lay-up. This boat comes with a mini-cell foam seat and carved back 45° cockpit ring. Vacuum infused. If you’r looking for something special (talk to me, if you’r unsure of fitting). Recommended paddler weight is 60-95kg

Brand new, professionally built, epoxy glass/diolen hull, bonded to a western red cedar, strip planked, pre-molded and glassed top. This boat comes with the best hand laminated and steam bent cockpit rim. The wooden top is also heavily varnished and should not require any maintenance, if kept under cover. This boat comes with genuine rubber Kajaksport hatches and a rugged polycarbonate, foot bulkhead hatch from Whale co. The hull shape is based firmly on the standard Shrike and has 3 watertight compartments. Comes with a mini-cell foam seat and back pad. A retro-fitted ‘slide on’ skeg can be installed if needed, along with extra deck lines, upon request. Recommended for paddlers between 60-100kg.

A medium weight, fast, polyester skinned, fuselage framed kayak, inspired by Greenland style boats. The Shad tracks well and sits low in the water. It has a reassuring amount of primary stability, compared to other Greenland style boats, if you’r new to paddling. The polyester fabric is sewn onto a steamed oak cockpit ring after being wrapped around the boat and sewn together along the deck using a ‘bolt rope method. There are no glue or metal fastenings on this kayak, all the wooden parts are lashed tightly together with artificial sinew or joined with wooden pegs. This boat can be re-painted with any oil or water based exterior coating. Cockpit size fits a regular keyhole skirt. The boat comes with our comfy foam seat, mounted on a lashed plywood sole-boards so your not pushing against the skin. The foot pegs are adjustable, however they could be removed from inside. You can buy more lightly skinned boats but this Shad has been made tough !

Professionally built epoxy/plywood Shrike, constructed from slightly thicker 4mm ply with a 3 layer bottom. This is the plan deck version, meaning the cockpit feels a bit roomier than the kit version, (the knee braces are in the same plane as the deck camber and not horizontal). This kayak has 3 watertight compartments and a day hatch, two of the compartment covers are made of clear polycarbonate. This boat has been exceptionally well ‘faired in’, painted and tung oil varnished, making it a low maintenance hull. It will be a bit stronger than the lightweight Shrikes, and is heavier consequently. The boat has a mini-cell foam seat with hip pads and a simple foam backstop. A retro-fitted ‘slide on’ skeg can be installed if needed, along with extra deck lines, upon request. Recommended for paddlers between 60-95kg.

Professionally built, ex demo, epoxy/ply, single chined West Greenland inspired hull, with reassuring primary and secondary stability characteristics, this boat tracks well and edge turns o.k. with good straight line speed. A great all round kayak with 2 watertight compartments and a roomy key hole cockpit. Suitable for day paddling and moderate touring. This kayak has two watertight compartments and a flush rear deck hatch, along with extra reinforcement in key areas. It’s at the tougher end of epoxy ply construction with foam buoyancy fills, fore and aft. Adjustable foot rests and moulded foam seat with thigh pads and back pad. Deck lines can be added as required. This kayak has been heavily painted and varnished for durability but shows some signs of light use. Deck lines can be added upon request.

Professionally built, super light, vacuum infused, multi composite boat with an epoxy glass/diolen hull, and a glassed, marine ply and veneer top. The extra light deck gives the boat a very stable feel. Based on the standard Shrike hull, with the exception of a 20mm overall, lower deck level, and consequent lower volume and overall height in the water, making it comparable with other popular Greenland style boats ! Vacuum infused, with two layers of diolen outside the glass layers, and 25mm thick bulkheads, along with foam end pours to stop the ingress of water if the tips get damaged. Comes with a mini-cell foam seat, under-seat stiffening, and a carved back 45° cockpit ring, for easier lay backs. This kayak has two watertight bulkheads and two circular hatches. An appropriate thickness foam foot-block is used, in place of foot pegs, (for comfort). Recommended paddler weight is 60-100kg. Deck lines can be added upon request.
